The gift that keeps on giving

Although this title is over - and mis - used I've now got your attention, so carry on reading :)

Molly, our founder, started OwnHome to make and create new, natural, alternatives for her friends and families aches and pains. Now that I have joined, an overqualified couch potato, I have brought a capitalist nature to the company, one that doesn't quite fit with our ethos. In a bid to meet in the middle and create the mother of all establishments we are teaming up with a variety of charities and organisations and paired them up with each of our festive boxes.

Firstly Movember; we have paired our Pre & Post Shave bar up with this charity putting 10% of our revenues from any box containing this product into our Movember page. Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide.

Secondly, the Sheffield Food Bank. We will be donating 10% of revenues from our House Hamper toward the S6 Sheffield Food Bank as we lead up to Christmas. 1 in 5 people in the UK live under the poverty line, the Trussel Trust has set up foodbanks across the country to try and counteract this mass absurd statistic. Although our contribution won't be reaching the heights of Jeff Bezos new commitments it is something, and in the wake of the covid-19 pandemic we urge anyone and everyone to try and make whatever contribution they can to their local food banks.

As we approach Christmas OwnHome will be donating a shoebox of Repurposed Play and other OwnHome treats to children in need. We will be linking up with Samaritans Purse a charity set up to provide a 'shoe box' of toys and gifts to children who will not be receiving gifts this Christmas. We promise to donate 1 box for every 5 Kids collections bought, including DIY boxes.

This Christmas we will be donating Christmas Gifts to the Chesterfield Home Instead Senior Care. They have a Christmas gift scheme for residents who will be without their loved ones over the festive season. With the current state of the Corona-virus ridden UK, the much anticipated 'family Chirstmas' could become a thing of the past. We pledge to donate 1 gift for every five Wondrous Woman boxes bought.

Please have a look at our products so we can donate as much as possible!!!
